Sanyo 6200 $99 @ Radio Shack, no rebates, nothing, very special price considering 299 at sprintpcs.com. Radio shack lowered the price recently, but apparently stores have been selling out on them since its so low. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A NEW CUSTOMER. this is a badass deal. check it out folks.

This is hot. RatShack always had a good price on this phone, but this is another $50 off. This phone does 3g data too if I'm not mistaken... :D

It also has your choice of orange or green backlight. Too bad it isn't color or I'd jump on this.

To correct an above post, this phone is 3G-voice only, not data.

Still an awesome deal on an AWESOME phone :)

Amazon has Sanyo 6200 for $299 with a $200 Mail-in-Rebate and $70 Rebate from Sprint. Find $5 off $35 coupon to make the deal better with FREE shipping and NO TAXES. Comes to$25, way better than RadioShack deal.

Note that Amazon doesn't mention the $200 Rebate for this phone on the phone description page but is there on the rebate form.

If you have Amazon Visa(triple points equivalent to $18 Amazon Gift card) or E*Trade visa(5% Cash back) the deal gets better.

for the $70 rebate you can be an existing customer but you have to be adding a new line of service. read from the rebate form.

havn't looking into the 200$ one.

yea, the thing about the radioshack price is that there arent any rebates to deal with or new activation, so even old customers can buy it for 99.

Check the rebate form, it has to be postmarked by 8/01/02 and you have to have a copy of your first months bill, with 2 week shipping time you will never get your bill in time to make that post mark date, now your out your $200.00 rebate. With radio shack you have no rebates involved an you don't have to be a new member.
The radio shack is a way better deal.

Not if your phone still has service.

that is a great phone, just picked it up, and what do u know, I have service in spots I never did before. It seems to add at least 2 bars as soon as you make or receive a call, so every call sounds great. thanks for an awesome deal.

awsome phone!! just got it from radio shack, they upped the price to 129, but that now includes an accessory of your choice. but what you need to know is that you still can use the $70 rebate on this... why pay 99 or 129 when you can pay 29 or 59 ;)

SprintPCS is not honoring the $70 MIR on the $99.99 price of the 6200 at Radio Shack. I confirmed this with two RS stores this weekend as well as the SprintPCS rebate center @ 1-888-866-5442. There is also a thread over at FW where others have been told the same thing. Sprint's "excuse" is that the $99 price already has a instant rebate incuded and the $70 promotion is not valid with any other promotions even if the store is offering the promotion. The RS emplyees should be notifying people that the $70 is not valid with the 6200 as they were told to do so by corporate. $99 is still not to bad for this phone although according to the local SprintPCS store, the retail price of the 6200 drops to $150.00 after the end of the month so even better deals should appear after then.

BTW - all SprintPCS company stores are matching the Radio Shack $99 offer and are including free activation a $35.00 savings. I was able to get a better deal than the 6200 deal by asking my local SprintPCS store to instantly match Amazon's $200.00 MIR on the Sanyo 5150. They also matched their own $70 MIR since it would be invalid with the price override. $36.30 out the door for a new Sanyo 5150 incuding tax and activation!:)

Here is the Amazon rebate form .Just print it out and take it to any SprintPCS company store. Amazon rebate form

It does not matter whether u are existing customer or not.

But the deal may be over after Jun 30th ...YMMV...

This is what I understand of SprintPCS activation policy. As long as you have an absolutely new phone (ie. has never been activated), they do not charge you activation fees (applicable to existing customers only).

I paid $99 + tax for it on Jun 26; activated it without any further surcharges from SprintPCS and/or RS....sales rep @ RS told me deal gone at the end of month. <shrug> you might want to go check just in case

They do that if you are/were on an Advantage Agreement.

I asked one of the Spring guys at best buy, it's something like you have to wait 6 months (or longer) to be considered a new customer.
