SantaCruz problem?

When I load the drivers for my new SantaCruz sound card, my computer freezes, what could cause this?
I'm running windows XP

Just for giggles, if you have an ethernet card unplug the lan cable from it. I've never talked to anyone with winXP installing the card, but some previous versions of the winME drivers would stall if it found a network connection, so it may be similar.

If that doesn't work, if it gets through unpacking the drivers and then starts to freezew when installing, you can do it manually by pointing the device manager to the folder it unpacks to, you'd have to do a file search on your comp for turtle beach to try and track them down though.

i believe i remember reading the install notes for the drivers, and they mentioned something about it freezing, try reading those. also try the network card thing
