My problem is simple.... Ever since I installed this soundcard, my computer has rebooted randomly 3 times in the last days... Pretty annoying!!! I have never had any problems like this before this soundcard???

IS this related to any software that is installed or any hardware i have??? thx guys --- Or should I just trade it in for an Audigy???

Have you tried the latest drivers for the card? What OS are you running? Under XP, make sure you're using the XP drivers

Sorry, I forgot to mention!
I am running win2k with service pack 2 and running the latest drivers from the site.

that's the new ECS? might have issues w/ PSU like the previous incarnation but I doubt it uninstall the driver set( then in your DeviceManager remove/uninstall the SoundCard )and reinstall the driver set ...then reboot. Hope that helps.

curious...it doesn't/didn't randomly reboot without the SC installed?

u don't have your mem settings set aggressively, do u?

try running everything at default speeds w/ mem timings set by SPD, then give it a whirl...run it for a day (at least) like that.

thx for the input guys 🙂 --- and im not overclocking at all, my memory settings are not pushed at all...
I reseated the card in another pci slot to see what it will do --- so far no crashes today... well see... if there is one more crash in a near future --- Im sending the card back for an audigy 😀
