I saw some pretty good (high def) pics of this on tonight's news. Looks like the boom blew over backwards...and discombobulated as it went over the superstructure. About all they can do with it now is to secure it with wire or nylon chokers and chain falls to keep it from blowing around and possibly falling to the ground.
it's not an impossible task...difficult and dangerous...but should be done for public safety.

I have no doubt some good ironworker riggers would accept the challenge...for triple time and bragging rights.
