Would there be any issues with running Windows XP with a Sandy Bridge processor?

I have a Windows XP machine right now, and just I want to swap out the motherboard and processor for an i5-2500K processor and Intel BOXDH67GD LGA 1155 motherboard.

I believe XP can see 4 cores, but it will not (XP 32) utilize more than 3.25GB of RAM.

If memory serves me correctly Windows XP will not be supported after the end of April.

Generally speaking that kind of swap will require a full reinstall of the operating system. It might be worth your time and money to upgrade to Win7 now. OEM versions are affordable and the Student price is a steal in case you have that option.
