But I already know that links I want to know the comparison of old and new core i7 and their benchmarks.

x2

But initially it seems like they focused A LOT on integrated graphics (probably for Business/Tablet) market?

Not sure how significant the performance will be for Gamers....

Can we expect some early reviews then? Or do NDAs prevent sites from putting out their reviews, even if the product comes from a non-intel source?

These fusion types of chips that give us better graphics performance than current Intel crap graphics are going to cause a huge revival of the PC as a gaming platform. The number of computers able to game at reasonable levels will explode and the potential sales for pc developers will as well. It may even pass the console as a gaming platform choice.

how can u have a powerful ondie?

That's like asking for a turbo charged hybrid.
On die's dont get powerful, they get efficient.
But never powerful.

you guys know that right?

Agree 100%. If anyone, it was OEMs (and consumers) who were too cheap to put in and/or buy a decent GPU that allowed any sort of gaming.

Agreed as far as the CPUs go, but there's no reason you couldn't have a turbo charged hybrid.

Hybrid just means you have an electric engine in addition to your combustion engine, it doesn't say anything about the power of each component.

For examples you will soon be able to get a Porsche plug-in hybrid that does 0 to 60 in about 3 seconds.

There are two other threads here in the CPUs and Overclocking forum of Anandtech which touch on the subject of processor to processor comparison. Clock for clock, the advantage appears to be with Sandy Bridge by 10% to 20% ... but that's just me throwing around what I recall having read. You want to read through those threads, and digest the benchmarks to draw your own conclusions.

Best regards,

I need more info on motherboards and whether the different P67 boards OC very differently.

Here's hoping for a speedy roundup.

I dont get how a 2600K can use 70 watts less than equally clocked 875K.

It can't, which is why you should ignore the review and wait 2 weeks for the real review. I mean who underclocks/overclocks on a power consumption test? Also they are using a slow spindle HDD.

The HDD speed is irrelevant if they're using the same drive for all power tests.

The under/overclock of the i7 does make the power numbers useless. It's been shown that the uncore speed may make a noticeable difference to performance, and possibly power consumption.

5670 level graphics is powerful enough for most people. Not everyone feels comfortable cracking their case open.

Actually, the spindle drive was mentioned because the advantages of performance is likely hindered by the drive system. In addition, if the CPU is clever enough it might have greater idle periods when the drive is holding the system back - just a WAG though.

I wouldn't call 1-2% gain with a 33% boost a lot:
