Am i wrong but there are boards that dont suffer this problem arnt there? Wasnt there a few boards that had all sata III? I cant see a reason to pull the 2500 and 2600 cpus other than 90% of the MBs for um are not comming for a month or so. People who have the boards and are gong to use them may need a CPU, there will be a few OC mishaps. Three should still be a very small market for the CPU's. As sombody said it could be a few more RMA's but the Egg gets 15% (or is it 20%) restock.. I dont think they care. I guess they could get a glut of Open box items.

There are no boards or chipsets that do not suffer the problem for S1155. All current chipsets have SATA II, and are affected by the bug.

Just as they pulled the Sandy's, they jumped up on the i7 950 CPU's at the same time. They went as high as $309 but now are $299 for something that was $294 before all of this. That why I bought from SuperBiiZ for $292 with a $15 coupon code. $277,not bad at all.

Creative Computers in Silicon Valley has both CPUs and boards. I know MC has the CPUs - unsure if they're selling boards. CC just goes out of their way to tell people not to use the SATA-2 ports if you're concerned about the issue. I was so impressed I bought an SSD from them.

I still plan on building my 2500K rig. I havent bothered to buy the 2500K so far because I don't see a reason for it to lay around for two months while waiting for the mobos. I'll wait til the fixed P6 mobos are in stock. Unless a really sweet sale for the 2500K pops up before then, which I doubt will happen.

There talking march or April till the boards return, hate to wait!

Return in full supply. They will start going out in mid Feb supposedly but the stores won't get them first. They have to satisfy the affected customers first and then the OEM folks get theirs next, then the stores. At least thats what I been hearing. They are saying March-April for full supply line refilled. That means enough for everyone.
