sandusky: guilty until proven innocent?

I actually just graduated from PSU and this Sandusky thing was huge. everyone from psu has been calling for his hanging from even before the trial began. I chose to form no opinion on the matter or on the matter of JoePa's involvement (*everyone* at psu is pro-JoePa, everyone else is against it seems)

And now, the trial is going on and from what I've read (which I will admit is limited), things look favorably towards Sandusky? all of the witnesses have changed their stories and also messed up dates drastically? and now McQueary's dad also can't get his story straight (doesn't even remember testifying to the grand jury)?

And the victims' testimonies have basically said Sandusky would force them to hang out with them and act inappropriate sometimes (touching thighs, groping in the water)

Maybe I've watched too much Law and Order, but it seems like Sandusky isn't going to get in (much) trouble? It's a few people with shaky stories testifying that Sandusky groped them and nothing else really?

what am I missing?

They've also provided creepy notes that Sandusky wrote. That will hurt him far more than any memory problems will help him.

lolwat? A few shaky stories? They have one very credible witness in Mcqueary, and dozens of other victims, along with disturbing letters he wrote, and I'm sure other evidence as well.

What did Mcqueary have to gain by making any of this up? This has completely fucked over his career and life. Don't you think he wishes he didn't see what he did?

LOL Sandusky is going away for the rest of his life IF he doesn't kill himself before the trial is even over. My money is on the latter.

So did I, and I work at a campus. I think I agree with you on about 1% of this. That this Sandusky thing is huge.

I hope for the sake of this university that the man is found guilty, that key people are found negligent, and that this shakes the system to the core.

There's an awful lot of evidence against the man from a number of different accusers. Do you really think it's more likely that there's some giant conspiracy against this man to falsely accuse him of horrific crimes? That seems like a tremendous stretch... How would they get all these people to go along with it? Why has no one recanted their story? Who would bankroll such a conspiracy?

Sandusky is totally boned.

its not specific to sanducky but pretty much everyone is guilty until proven innocent now. more so if their case makes media headlines

wtf have you been reading? the articles I've read have been horribly descriptive about the abuse and that things are looking quite bad for him. Are you serious?

Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

that has nothing to do with the court of public opinion.

Not sure what trial the OP has been following, but if you think Sandusky is "not going to get into much trouble", I got news for you: he's not coming out of jail alive.

OP you got to be fucking trolling. Go read up you fucking toll.

not trolling. thanks for a link.

BELLEFONTE, Pa. – For Jerry Sandusky, Wednesday inside Centre County Court had been going reasonably well.

Two of the accusers called to testify had proven either shaky or prone to defense attorney Joe Amendola's familiar attack about financial motivation. Another accuser offered testimony that, at least by the standards of this case, didn't reach blockbuster levels.

this guy doesn't mention this

why not?

seriously not trolling, wanna know

The disbelief factor is high with pedophile cases. What is puzzling is the mindset that thinks the witnesses have all put together a fabricated conspiracy to bring down someone and ruin their reputation.

And the oral sex.

Exactly they some how got 10 accusers, Mike McQueary and that janitor to making all it up. 🙄
