Sandra crashes

Everytime I try running to test the mainboard, the system completely freezes. I'm running an Epox 8KTA+, 700 Duron, 256 Kingston Valuram 100 @ 133 CL2, Diamond Viper II AGP. The software is Sandra 2000 Pro. Anyone have any clue??

I have the same problem on my Tyan Tiger 100.

Actually, I used to have that problem. Now, when I try
to run Sandra, the program locks up before it even gets to the
menu of tests. I have to kill Sandra from the System Monitor
panel...I guess something I installed must conflict with
Sandra, though I have no idea what...

Q: Modules Mainboard Information and CPU & BIOS Information lock up!
A: Try the following: in module list (main window), right-click a module, choose Options and:

Uncheck Include Temperature Information. If it works, repeat for the other modules. The mainboard may not have a compatible system monitoring sensor chip. You can also try updating to the latest version of Sandra.

Uncheck Include Programable Clock Generator Information from the module Options. If this works, repeat for the other modules. The PLL IC may be locking the SMBus/i2c bus - or it may be write-only.

Uncheck Include SPD EEPROM Information from the module Options. If this works, repeat for the other modules. The mainboard/chipset may not support the SMBus/i2c bus correctly or the memory modules do not implement SPD correctly or are damaged in some way. You can also try updating to the latest version of Sandra.

If it says "compensation added" to external sensor, likely it is a guess as to CPU temperature. Read the CPU temperature from BIOS.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that Sandra2001 no longer locks up on mainboard testing.

Upgrade.

My Sandra would lock up {not responding} when i tried to do memory benchmark or drives benchmark.. i tried 3 versions of past and i finally upgraded to the newest version and has worked fine for me so far. no probs. but the locks were pretty annoying!! only the program though it didn't actually lock the computer.
