Because it might get other celebrities to open their wallets and help out. Besides, my guess it's $1 million more than you'll donate.

well people seemed to care when Dell donated $3 million so i saw this and thought people might be interested

wow. I hadn't heard about that. Good for them too.

I donated $20 this morning which is roughly the same percentage of my overall savings and income, and I am not on the news. Very disappointing.

You only make about $200 a year? If i were you, i would reconsider your career at McDs.

She must have invested her money back when she was more popular. Unless she has MCHammerItis

Maybe she's hoping her display of altruism will get her some parts. 🙂

Her folks run [ran?] a diner out here at one of the municipal airports. If I'm not mistaken, I had a Bullock sighting while I was watching planes taking off one time back in like... 1995. Speed was hot sh!t back then and so was she.

All of my mcdonalds money goes into my savings which i subsequently blow on useless gadgets. In fact, speaking of MC Hammer, I am the MC Hammer of computer geeks. I even buy useless gadgets for my cats.

because it's a publicity stunt?
If it was done purely for humanitarian reasons, it probably would have been done a lot more quietly.
I'm not trying to devalue the contribution she made... she didn't have to make it, and it's wonderful of her to do so, but the reason we're hearing about it is because she or her publicist ALSO wanted us to hear about it.

TBH, I could care less if it was a publicity stunt. money is money, it's her to give, and if comes with some fanfare, more power to her. Movies stars can't piss without someone watching them
