Unbelievably hot!

I usually shun Sandisk flash memory because it's too slow for high-end cameras, but this Ultra CF is much better. It's up there with the RiData and Transcend cards. I can't wait to benchmark it and find out for sure.

I ordered one and I also ordered a Simpletech CF one too. The simpletechs seem to be a little faster then the Sandisk. The simpletech is $114 after $50 rebate. A little more but if I don't like it I will ebay it.

Going price on a 512 card on ebay is around $130 right now. I predict the price to plummet to $100 by the end of the month.

Well, a good find. I hesitated at first hearing about the performance issue of Sandisk, but I guess they had performance issue with the regular Sandisk, not the Ultra Sandisk.

Not necessarily. This is an ULTRA 512MB which many people prefer over normal 512MB.

I remember buying a 64MB Sandisk CF card for $105 2 years ago.

Oh, one last thing... 512MB of MP3s that is nice!
