Next week Staples has the sandisk sansa m240 1gb player
621173
$99.99 - $10 is - $10 er = $79.99

A $10 off $40 coupon wold bring it down to $69.99.

I'm torn between this item and the Creative Nano Plus 1GB player for $69.99 less a $10 coupon = $59.99.

Which would you choose and why?

Thanks

I bought the 1GB zen nano plus for around $70 and am completely satisfied. For some reason I just don't trust SanDisk...plus I read somewhere that the sansa players feel cheap and the buttons are stiff and finicky.

I would go with Creative. They are in the Sound business. SanDisk is good in the flash memory business. Go with those who know the business best.

go with Sansa e140 (about $70), add a cheap 2 GB SD card ($42) and have a 3GB player cheap.

I own the Sandisk m240 1gb mp3 player. It works well, good sound, good battery life and it supports Windows Plays For Sure subscription services so you can use Rhapsody To Go and Napster To Go services. The 1GB Zen nano does not support the subscription service.

I originally was going to get the Sandisk e130 and an SD card.

My local OD puts them on sale/rebate for $30 but NEVER has them.
They're discontinued but YES they STILL advertise them.
My local OD manager tells me since they're a small store they USUALLY don't stock featured sale items or specials.
Holy illegality Batman!

For that reason I considered the Creative Muvo but heard many bad rants.
I turned to the Crative Nano or Sandisk M240.
The e130 had complaints of being fragile.
The Nano had some good and some bad comments but most bad comments were due to bad firmware.

Which has a better display/id3 tag display?

I just got email from the geeks about THSI refurbished 1GB SanDisk SDMX-1024-R MP3 Player for $56.50.

Sandisk's website info on SDMX1-1024

It has an indigo backlit display.

Now which to choose?

Thanks

Once again, let me recommend the Sansa m200 series. You won't regret it. You get a lot more bang for your buck since it supports Windows PlayForSure subscription. You don't have to buy any songs if you use RhapsodyToGo or NapsterToGo.
