I got it today, and everything looks great expect one thing. They (Sandisk) put "REFURB" on the back and you can't take it off (at least I don't think you can). 🙁

you can. use something soft and hard, like you fingernail. apply force to one side of one letter. your finger will slip; keep trying. eventually the letter will slide. once slid its easy.

That took awhile to do...haha. Thanks! 🙂

Got mine in the mail the other day, very nice player aside from the thing that says REFURB on the back. It's got standard features and you can record FM Radio which is great 😛

Got mine today after a lengthy wait, but that's snailpost for you. Mine was in perfect condition and has worked marvelously so far. I even picked up a 2 gig micro sd card at compusa for 25 bucks. It was part of a 4 in 1 kit they have on sale right now. So a 4 gig mp3 player for 55 bucks...not bad.

BTW... Buzzsaw check out the forum on woot.com for tips on popping those refurb letters off (some were able to with just a fingernail, which I don't have any off...so I'm still working on it). if you decide to use googone or whatever its called make sure you don't get any on the front of it as it did some damage to some peoples.

I got mine a couple days ago and it's perfect.

And yeah the letters on the back slide off if you can get your fingernail hooked on it. I tried for like 5 minutes to scrape them off and finally broke the seal on the letter "B" and then the other 5 letters all slid off in one swoop. 😛 Assuming this thing lasts a decent amount of time it's a great deal. Better than a Nano imho.

Any of you get shipped the wrong usb cable?

i got it without a usb cable, emailed woot, and heard nothing so far

Luckily I picked up a Griffin PowerDock at BestBuy otherwise I would have had no way to connect it to my computer. I emailed service@woot.com and haven't heard anything yet either but I'm guessing it will be a few days. I feel stupid for not even noticing but i was thinking there had to be a little usb connection somewhere...duh.

BTW I think i posted on here somewhere that powerdock's info. It was clearanced at BB for only 7.99. (or less if you can find an open box like I did 😀) So that may be an option for you too.

Thanks moshquerade for the post, I've been wanting one of these but couldn't justify the price seeing as I already have an mp3 player, but at this price with more features it made sense.

I finally got it after a bout of slow shipping and some scary comments on the woot forums from people who had problems when they got theirs, but mine so far is working great so I'm happy my purchase.

Thanks again Hermitt-guy!

Mine has RockBox installed without issue. The good thing they left dual booting in, because the USB port does not work in RockBox.

If you need a cheap microSD card, CellHut has a 2GB AT&T branded SanDisk card for $20 shipped.
