Sandisk Sansa c250 2GB MP3 Player (Recertified)

I bought one! Thanks for the heads up.

I thought my (probable) first and last posts on Fusetalk should be about getting in on MP3 player deals.

It's funny that the first one was even more exciting than this deal. It was half off using "value dollars" at Value America (I miss that .com boom...) and I still use my 32mb rio that I believe we paid around $80 for?

It holds about 11 songs that are displayed as track numbers on the screen. It was before USB and XP, so I cannot hook it up to my laptop. I can, however, listen to the same 3 Michael Jackson songs for 20+ hours on one AA battery.

Here I am today in a thread purchasing a smaller, rechargeable MP3 player with FM radio, a color LCD screen with 2,000mb storage for only $15 with free shipping.

It is a good deal, but it wasn't as great a deal as that Diamond Rio.

i really hadn't planned on picking one up, but i just did too. with an expandable slot for additional memory, it's too good to pass up. plus, it's alot easier to carry while running compared to the iPod touch

Seems like you can put rockbox on most of the refurbs too. It added FLAC support to my year old 1Gig version, and allows an endless amount of tinkering with the sound, plus some apps and games.

coopa- I've got a Rio SP90 that just collects dust, but in its day... I miss ValueAmerica. Helped that place go under! Still using a microwave and chainsaw I got for 1/2 price. More things probably. Aaaah VA dollars, the mind reels.

If you get a v1 c150, Rockbox works great on it. If it's a v2, then it's a no go.

Well i got it. It is an AMAZING mp3 player. I don't even feel the need to load other firmware onto it. The sound is full in all frequency ranges and the volume is to die for.

How long does the battery last for you guys?

1G C240 player is still in stock. $1 less than this deal, $13.99. Same thing, still expandable too.

Uses same dual-processor chipset as several ipod models.
Great for lossless FLAC support if you get one that takes Rockbox.

I know nothing about mp3s but know I need one and would like to get this one. I have a 2003 Honda Odessey which has a CD player but can't read .mp3s. If I want to play .mp3s over my car stereo, can this device help get me there?

You need an adapter of some sort, then you can play the mp3's using this player. If you have a cassette player, a simple adapter from Wal-Mart will work.

I received mine, but it came without a instruction manual. Now I have to play detective and try and find one online...
Dang - it didn't come with any software either.
Just what I didn't need - another project!
