Has to be purchased from Amazon.com. MIR isn't advertised on the 512mb Ultra II link, but it is on the regular 512mb so I guess I got lucky with my digging!
MIR for $20 off any 512mb flash card. Good until 5/16/04. Beats out PriceGrabber's prices by ~$15-$20

Ultra II
Regular also are covered, but nothing extraordinary. Still good prices though. Personally that 512mb SD Ultra II card for $130AR is a good price!

You really should put $130 in the title.

After that Amazon $13 deal for the 128MB card that expired a few days ago, I bet you more than a few people click thinking the card is $20. It ain't $20 it's $130AR :brokenheart:

Probably still a good deal on large capacity cards, I asked this in the other thread (but no answer), what's the limitation for current digital camears as far as these cards go, 1gig? 2 gigs?

I think my thread title is appropriate since this isn't just about SD cards, but also MS and CF cards as well. If the n00bs here don't know what MIR stands for then I will penalize then for even clicking. It's hardware limited and depends on the camera. The way it usually works is manufacturer's say that a deivce can take up to a certain limit because that's the limit at the time of release. People are realizing that new cards even work so there might not even be a limitation on devices. I just know this based off my SD card experiences.

Speaking of "n00bs", this is a repost

is there any advantage to using SD over CF if you have a PDA that supports both? Other than the "i have a camera that uses SD" or the "i already have a CF BT/WiFi/accessory in use" ones?

And does the speed ratings really make a big difference when trying to stream movies off a SD/CF card? I'm not sure if paying the extra money for a faster one is going to be worth it....

Acually you're right. It didn't need it's own thread, but it was important to mention that the $20MIR applies to the MS and SD cards too as well as to the regular versions and not just the ultra.

Also, how did I use a referral link? I went directly to amazon.com and a did a search and posted that link. I guess I have alot to learn...

silex,

thanks for posting the MIR, the other posts did not list the correct rebate...so your post was very beneficial despite what others have stated. thanks again.

Man, this is fvcking weak! I just bought this card (512MB Ultra II) about 3 weeks ago for $140! Now you can buy it for almost half the price. :| I might pick up another one though. :)
