Good deal. Looks nice too.

For people who only want a USB 1.1 6-way card reader,

new egg has the Biostar e-Catcher 6 IN 1 USB 1.1 reader

for $8 + $6 shipping = $14 with no rebates involved.

(See a previous thread that covers the Biostar).

Awesome fine. I've been waiting for a deal on this model for quite sometime, glad it has been finally found :) Gotta love the USB2 speeds too :)

I bought one of these back in January, and at the time the CF reader part had serious compatibility problems. I ended up applying an unofficial firmware patch I found from someone on another site, which fixed it. I've since heard that Sandisk has updated the firmware on the shipping model. If anyone does have this problem, I'll see if I can dig up the information that I used to fix mine...

I've got one and I haven't had any problems. I've used canon and viking CF no problems there. No driver installation is required on XP, just plug and play (wow, a product that actually lives up to the name)... One problem was when I tried it on my windows 98 (pre se) it would bluescreen whenever it was connected (box and drivers state it supports win98 win98se me 2k/xp)...

I've been using this for awhile and it works great with XP. Some people that had problems found that if they put the card in before they plug the unit in to the computer, the probs disappeared.

It's so much faster than USB 1.1 and I guess would work instead of a floppy, but I really like the USB jumpdrives for floppy replacements. Fits in your pocket and seems to work with any USB port.

I actually had the model for a few months and have used Viking, Simpletech, Lexar and Sandisk cards. Whats funny is that the Sandisk 256mb sd cards always has problems with read/write but everything goes smoothly when I use the Lexar 256mb sd cards.

pretty high.. much higher than throughput of all your media cards for sure.. the cool features:
u can take the reader out of the dock and carry with laptop (extra usb cable provided)
cool feature 2: u can copy form one media card to another!!!! very cool, IMO
3) each media has a light next to it, so u can see how the transer going..
for $20 cant beat it, assuming Sandisk is good with their rebates...
