check it quick, this one has to sell out soon, it's too good:

Hopefully you guys have noticed that I post a lot of deals as I myself am a deal junkie! I go through the deals everyday because I am trying to find certain components on a strict budget for my "rig 1" (see sig)

Not to mention I just broke my collarbone last week and just had surgery to fix it - a plate and 7 screws in my clavicle! Suffice to say I have nothing to do all day except read PC mags and check out sites.

I get virtually all my "promo codes" at the same site. I RSS deal feeds from the ".com" that user: "regpfj" found on his search into my Google Reader and just scroll through the deals of the day. (see my HP Laserjet 1018 post in this topic)

The best way to find deals is to RSS "deals" into your reader and check them, it works great.

More that half my posts on this site are deals that I just find and feel like sharing with my fellow techies.

AnandTech members have been so nice I love this forum!

Now if someone that I have helped (surely you all liked the LOTR deal!) could just help me find a good deal on a RAID card: either AMCC 3ware 9650se, Promise SuperTrak EX4350, RocketRAID 2320 or Areca ARC 1310 - Please help a brotha out!

Happy shopping!

Showing OOS as of 17:34 01/05. It's also virtual Saturday (after sundown) for B&H now, so they aren't taking orders anyway.

Yes indeed you can boot from a flash drive, many trucks that carry Hand Held Computers (Pepsi for one) uses a Windows based Handheld that boots from a Sandisk Flash Drive

yeah. Wiki:
CompactFlash defines a physical interface which is smaller than, but electrically identical to, the PCMCIA-ATA interface. That is, it appears to the host device as if it were a hard disk of some defined size and has a tiny IDE controller onboard the CF device itself.
You'll need one of these or these and check out this.
As mentioned above, its popular with car pcs.
