SanDisk 2gb sd card 79.99 at CC

WoW!!, Nice deal, but my camara only takes up to 1 gig, darn Nikon, they should have release a new firmware. And my Ericsson phone only take the proprietary memory stick duo pro.

This is a very slow card.

The Ultra II version is only $84 shipped at Newegg.
Or better yet get this for $79 which is faster than the Ultra II
120x

This is warm at best considering you can get the Ultra II which is much faster (especially if you own a DSLR) goes for $89 shipped online from the same manufacturer and same size...check slickdeals or FW

Good thing I came back and read more posts almost bought a slower sd card. I'll just end up getting the ultra II or the ridata now.

I never heard of the brand. Newegg got me once with a CF card that died after 6 months. Lifetime doesn't mean squat if the company goes under.

Ritek isn't going anywhere.

Maybe a stupid question, but would the speed of the card make much of a difference for use in a pda or pocket pc? Would I be able to notice the difference, would it slow down program run times, or is it primarily of importance for digicams? I appreciate any assisstance ya'll can offer, thanks...

No, it'd definetly affect it on a pocket pc more than probably anything (besides maybe DSLRs). You'd definetly notice it in pretty much everything - saving stuff, accessing documents, running programs etc. (as long as it's your primary storage module).

thanks for the heads up, one more question... what are the speeds on the normal 2gb Sandisk and the Ultra II? I searched newegg's site and they don't have speeds listed...

Agreed. I use my PPC for language translation, listening to mp3s, watching videos, and recording lectures. Switching to a high-speed card yielded a definite improvement.

Here's the company site for the Mr. Flash CF card I bought. The brand name is still being used, the main company still doing business, but they wouldn't do anything for me because the company responsible for the US warranty folded.

I've never heard of Advanced Media Inc, the company responsible for the warranty for the card with the Ritek name all over it. Unlike Ritek, they have only been around since 2001. If they fold, so goes your warranty. I'll pass.
