Short version:
Anything exist like Sandboxie that ONLY isolates windows folder and registry? You can delete a program without leaving system bloat and at the same time no jumping through hoops to use a sandboxed app to perminantly manipulate user files on desktop?
Long Version:
Reinstalling Windows 7 due to current install becoming bloated over time. Tried uninstalling all apps and see that the registry and windows folder are still bloated with crap and system still slowed down. SO - I'd like to install software in a way that can be removed completely in the future.
Sandboxie seems great except it overdoes it. If want to save, edit, move, manipulate files on my desktop/user-spaces it's constantly jumping through the hoops recovering files that otherwise disappear when you quit the sandboxed app. Not reasonable for every day use.
Bonus level 1: For sandboxed apps I'd like to have shell integration to right click and let's say zip a file and apps show up in start menu. Bonus level 2: be able to install sandboxed drivers.
VMWare workstation with unity mode has some advantages - you can permanantly manipulate files on desktop etc but it's still less than great. There's going to be some jumping through hoops and the virtual machine itself will become bloated itself unless I want to install apps into multiple virtual machines which isn't reasonable either.
Total Uninstaller / Revo - Helpful but once you start updating software it's just a mess.
Imaging drive after I install all the basics - do that already.
Any other advice would be appreciated.
