Actually, I'm sure there's some pretty good pho in SF, but fuck the Niners so Seattle rules pho too. Besides, pho tastes better when its rainy and grey. It's a fact.

Well it's grey, overcast, and chilly for much of the year over here, as well. And while that seems to be a sentiment shared among most of my people over here, I've never understood it: Pho comes from one of the hottest, muggiest, jungle climates on the planet.

:hmm:

I should clarify; she has been to disneyland in her teens, and on fast trips to Gilroy repeatedly with her folks as a child.

as someone who lived in Gilroy for over a decade...who the fuck goes to Gilroy on vacation and for what? lol

Her dad going to work on her older brother's riding arena and barns. Not what I'd call a vacation, especially as a kid 😛

Are we moving this thing or what? I've lost track. :hmm: Not a huge Pho guy, so would rather stick with oysters/seafood.

I thought that was just a tangential conversation. I assume it's still ~ Ferry Building?

Oh ok. Thought Snail might join us and he seemed very anti-ferry. No biggie either way as long as the day does not change.

LOL it's literally a stone throw from the Ferry Building to the other place. Once you guys realize how touristy the other place is, you'll want to move over to the Water Bar.

I may, or may not join you, but I figured it's better that you get properly introduced to SF instead of the usual touristy thing.

Just bumping this up as a reminder for this Sunday, March 15th, 1:00 PM at the Ferry Building. I'll be leaving in a couple of hours, so wanted to do this before I forgot. 😛

Outside of all the good suggestions you received I always like to just go to local neighborhoods and walk around - there's always little shops, bars and restaurants and places like that aren't necessarily on the usual tourist circuit.

Inner Sunset
Castro
Noe Valley
Mission Dolores/Valencia St
Clement St ("new" Chinatown).

Cool, I like that idea too. We essentially have all day free tomorrow (until 6:30) so will try to check out one or two of these spots. Thanks!

If you're going to be around the financial district, check out the newly renovated sky lounge at the Marriott. Go there during dusk, especially if there's a light layer of fog going on, have a drink; quite breath taking, the view and ambiance.

This was a suggestion that I made in our super-secret PMs. Though, I never can remember the hotel. I thought it was Hyatt.
