SA isnt that great, but considering you are comparing it to cali, welcome to paradise (except for the landscape)

And the violence. And crime. And hollywood snobs. And ghetto fabulous golddiggers. And the polution and traffic. And basically being an entirely different country ran by the governator.

Wait, so what's in Cali that is somehow better than SA?

Are you kidding? San Antonio is a hole. It's nearly as bad as Houston.

Austin and DFW are the only tolerable places to live in Texas.

It's decent. I'm not loving it, but it's ok. I'd love to visit Austin though.

I've enjoyed San Antonio all my life.

EDIT: But traffic does suck. It took me an hour and a half to drive 25 miles yesterday on my way home from work. No accidents or blocked lanes of any kind, just plain old traffic.

Yah, i live by the 1604 and the 90... Going north is a bitch, cant wait untill they fix the highway.

What part you guys from?

no one but southern californians preface highway numbers with 'the,' so that is a habit you'll want to drop. other than that, welcome

I agree with the OP with the exception on #8. Traffice in SA, especially around 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., can be very crowded on the main roads <410>.

Uh, trees, ocean and mountains. Other than that, SA is fine.

I live off of Potranco outside of 1604.

Thats not too far from where I used to live. I lived right on Culebra, the subdivision I was in was called Timber Ridge, across from where Handy Andy used to be.

Right now, I live off of Babcock and Prue. Definatly a lot nicer than where I did live.

And yeah, cost of living in SA is really cheap.

Cool, i live between marbach and protranco, in Wolf Creak, nice place but i think the nieghbors already hate us. were the ones staying up till the mornings haha.

DFW all my life... just outside the dallas area, and inside of north dallas. Love texas...

I was given a choice to move to Plano by my workplace. I declined.
Good thing too. I move to another company here, bumped up my salary by almost 30k.

You're both wrong.

The largest waterpark in the US is Noah's Ark in Wisconsin Dells.

Wolf Creek really sounds familiar. I think I've been there, or have seen it. And you don't live that far from me either. 🙂

That one on the Southside near that Flea Market? I drive by that area all the time. Usually to go to that flea market. But I haven't been there in a while.

OK so let me get this straight...

You couldn't pick up a chick worth your life and you move to Texas (AKA Redneck USA) and suddenly you got a chick. Doesn't that say more about your mackin' skills then it does about Cali?
