San Andreas crashing

I installed the game, and started the Ryder mission, but just after I start playing, a second into the cut-scene the PC restarts... When it comes back there's a message "the computer has just recovered from a serius problem" and that's it... Any help?

Specs:
Win XP
6600GT
gig of ram
p4 3.2 (530?)
 
Well, it happens randomly, ussually when a cutscene starts, or when I enter a building. The system just restarts...

it crashes on me after 10-15min of playing. i just said f*ck it until there is a patch and play bf2. damn console ports...:roll:
 
Random BSODs here and a crash to desktop or two. And you can't bind the numpad 5 key to anything, that's been my 'run forward' key for almost every damn game now for YEARS. This southpaw is very unhappy about that.
