samurai 7 is a sci-fi animated remake of the seven samurai classic movie. I wouldn't say it does the movie justice as they try to stick in as much of the original movie scenes and dialogue into the series (which sometimes makes the story a bit wierd, as for example when katsu suddently admired kyuzo. That exact same sequence is in the movie, but the way the anime did it, it kinda sucked as it seemed a bit too sudden and didn't seem to fit well into the series overall)

but so far, it's been pretty good.
