Speaking of monitors, Best Buy currently has the Samtron (Samsung) 75E or 75V 17" monitor for $179.99. Subtract the $50 mail-in rebate and you've got a 17" monitor for $129.99 (plus tax).
I originally bought the 75V and returned it immediately. The picture quality was, well, *terrible.* Out of focus & "bruised" corners (which degaussing would not fix). I returned it and got the 75E. IMMACULATE!!!!!! I am using it right now in fact. Perfect focus, excellent shape (no "odd shaped corners"
. I couldn't be happier (and trust me, I am extremely critical when it comes to things...especially monitors). So those who may say "Samsung is Suck," well..this monitor rocks for the price!
The 75E & 75V are identical (they even use the same driver). The only difference is the 75E is made in Korea and the 75V is made in Mexico.
You be the judge on what that means...I'd just have to say that if you can, buy the 75E. The Best Buy in my area had an equal shipment of both.
Happy hunting!
