Samsung Vibrant Prices

So some guy is selling a 2 week-old one on Craigslist for $320. Is this a good price? Compared to Ebay it looks to be OK...

Yes...probably stolen.

sigh....

Vibrant prices have crashed. I've been trying to sell mine for at least $400 and I have only gotten Nigerian bites.

Once the G2 comes out, I'll take whatever I can get for it.

PS:
Put your SIM in when you meet and see if it works. If it does, you're all good.

decent price, nothing to go crazy over. I see them for $370 around me on CL, and they don't seem to be getting sold because the same couple keep getting relisted every few days for a few weeks now.

lol ok, how do you figure?

Yeah bad thing with that is that I got ATT and it is not unlocked. I can unlock it but I'll need to get home before I can pull that off.

then you have no worries

I'd offer $250 and probably meet the guy under $300.

Yes. I am a CL lowballer

Please don't mind the ignorance of some posters on here. They type faster than they think.

Perfect condition, $300 is a good price if you need one.
I bought a Captivate for $325 a month ago and sold it off 2 weeks later for $410 on Ebay.
After everything, I netted like $365.
Yeah, once the G2 comes out, the price will fall alot.

Yeah I'm a bottomfeeder. The guy already lowered the price from $360 since it didn't sell. I'll wait for it to get to $250 or so.

don't wait.....make an offer

Shatner is disapoint

If I was selling a phone on CL and asking $360 and a dude offered $250 I would delete the email without responding. I'm all for a person trying to get a good deal, but that's uber low balling. $110 difference it too much to ask. $360 -> $330 is pretty reasonable IMHO. I sell stuff on there all the time. OP MMV but I don't see anyone jumping on an offer of $250. $300 would be around the low end price that phone should be getting.

worst thing he could do is say no.

I buy a ton off CL and always lead with an offer that I know they will shoot.

He dropped it to $320, so $250 isn't an unreasonable first bid.

Btw, Fascinate pricing (free w/contract online!) makes paying ETF and going Verizon a real option.

That's why you don't negotiate price over email. You show up with cash in hand.

Who shows up for a sale of CL without agreeing on a price first ??
If I'm selling a phone, I'm not wasting my time and meet up with someone without knowing the agrred price.
Now, if we are talking about high price item like a car, then yeah negotiation is done after checking out the product.

I agree with you here.
If someone offer 75%-80% of the original price, I will politely answer NO and see if he makes a counter offer.
If its less than that, I'll just ignore the email.

If you only want to spend $250, then offer $250.
Worst case, you won't get it for $250, but if your budget is $250, it's no different than not making an offer.
You never know what the person's situation is, maybe he's leaving the country tomorrow or needs the money to make rent.

Yeah I just made the offer a few hours ago...no response. I'm sure mine got auto-deleted lol oh well worth a try.

You don't mention price before meeting. You just say that you're interested and want to see its condition.

I wouldn't pay more than $280 for a mint one. $220 if it has noticeable signs of use.
