eCost always has amazing deals but they also have shady business practices and often do not hold up their end of the bargain. That being said I got one of those 37" Westy HDTVs from there a few years back and couldn't be happier with it.

It's a refurbished TN panel with weird resolution -2048 x 1152- and essentially no recourse if you get one with a bunch of dead pixels. Unless it has 1:1 pixel mapping, essentially any game or full HD content you watch is going to look a little distorted as it gets scaled to that weird ass resolution. It's cheap but it's not my cup of tea.

It's not that bad a resolution 16:9 which is HD resolution standard. I would be really surprised if you could tell a 16:10 vs 16:9 especially during game play. I would think many titles allow for the setting of native resolution read directly from the monitor.

You should put price/recertified/shipping in the topic summary.

That's kind of an interesting resolution. Price isn't too bad either.

Does anyone know if this display requires dual-link DVI? I tend to think that it does.

So yes, you can use this with a single link DVI cable. I got this for $200 + Tax from Micro Center and have been very happy with it. The reason I got it is because it's the only 16:9 resolution that has more pixels than 1920x1200. The shift towards 1080p monitors is stupid in my opinion because we're getting less pixels for the same price.
