Samsung Syncmaster 172t LCD

Someone mentioned this monitor in one of the many LCD based threads. I went to Samsungs site and this looks like a great monitor. In fact, based on specs, it looks like the 171p without the Porsche design.

Now, I've been waiting for a great LCD at a great price for awhile and this looks like it may be a winner. Does anyone have any more details about this monitor? It's not out yet, it should be in a few weeks, I know that much.

Heh, the prices for the 172t are all in the 700-750 range which is great. So, is this the 171p with a simple black design instead of the fancy porsche design? No sense in paying an extra 150 for a pretty design. I actually really like the looks of their black bezel monitors. 🙂

Yes, the 172t, from everything I've read, is the 171P for a bit cheaper...

P is more expensive than T for the P design.

172T is available in Japan for sure, seems not for the US.
