Samsung S9 screen pixel response/ghosting

So I'm trying to decide between several phones and i was playing around with a S9 and S9+.

I was browsing CNN.com with black text on a white background and noticed some smearing or ghosting. I currently have a Pixel XL and the screen on that doesn't exhibit what i was seeing on the same webpage to anywhere near the same extent as the S9s did. Being Amoled I didn't think it would be an issue but it was very noticeable. I also tried a Sony XZ2 (LCD) and it was worse than the S9 but the difference was much smaller than i was expecting.

Has anyone else noticed this on any of their newer Samsung phones? Or could it maybe have been just a dud demo unit at the store?

On a side note, I saw S9+ and Pixel 2 XL demo units with HEAVY screen burn in. I've never seen anything like it. The looping demo doesn't keep the screen static really so I'm surprised that it had burn in that bad.

Display models with OLED will always have burn in.

My local Verizon still displays an OG Galaxy S5 and its burn in makes the display essentially useless.

My own S5 bought at launch has zero burn in. Same with my Note 4 and Note 8.

If you do buy an OLED display, which I highly recommend, never let your display stay frozen on a static image longer than a few hours.

I use a black background on my home screens with a black background in my browser. I always seect night mode/dark mode/OLED mode in apps.

I didn't think it got that bad but saw it first hand.
How about the pixel response time on your Note8? Notice any ghosting while scrolling on text?

None on any of my OLED devices. Only complaint I have for my Note 8 display is it isn't 144hz.

My S7 has a faint horizontal line (Seek Bar) and a faint Pause/Play button burned in from the Amazon Music App. I have a tendency to leave the app up on my phone and next through to find a song I wanna Jam.

The burn in was pretty bad, but I ran this video for maybe a couple hours.

The burn in is barely noticeable now. Definitively still there, but huge improvement.

The issue here, is that it's not an iPhone. If this was an iPhone, none of this would be a problem.

Pretty much no one is going to notice this. Very few people are that critical of their smartphone displays.

If you're asking is there measurable pixel response time compared to IPS LCD? Probably, but almost no one would notice it in use, and so it never gets mentioned by anyone (even nitpicky tech reviewers like OLED the majority of the time)
