Samsung release [another] 830 series firmware

ouch!

CXM02B1Q was only released the other day. Many users reported problems with the Windows update procedure and systems with nVidia GFX cards. Now we have CXM03B1Q. Looks like the firmware is the same but the update procedure has been refined.

does the DOS-based method come with a bootable image that we can just burn/dd to a cd/usb-hd ?
if it's still reliant on the "magician" software it don't do us non-windows users much good 🙁

I downloaded the bootable image version off of samsungs website. Burned it to a cd and updated that way. I still couldn't read what the words said. i just kept hitting y(yes). ( didnt use the magician software)

That's good to hear, hopefully all their updates going forward have images like that.
