256mb

512mb

This stuff is on Asus' compatibility list for the A7N8X, which I would imagine makes it great memory for most NForce2 boards. This is cheaper than the Corsair, Crucial, and TwinMOS equivalents (the $58 256mb TwinMOS/TwinMOS variation discussed in this thread comes close).

They do claim on the site that this is TRUE Samsung RAM -- noting that there have been people in the past who received RAM with Samsung chips on non-Samsung PCB's from SVC. However, here is their description this time around:

These Samsung original DIMMS are manufactured by Samsung, using their own 6-layer PCB. In the past, the supply of these units has been sporadic and unreliable. In order to guarantee that our customers receive real Samsung original dimms, SVC is carrying them in inventory. The modules will not be sent prior to examination by our technical support department. Subject to limited availability. If the item is not in stock, you will be notified immediately.

I didn't order, so I can't attest to whether it's in stock (nor to how good or bad the shipping charges are, though SVC is usually quite reasonable). I had already ordered the TwinMOS sticks, but I thought I'd pass this along. Great price if it's in stock...

They claimed it the first time, too. I bought "Samsung TRUE" PC2700 from them 6(ish) months ago and it wasn't. For anyone not familiar, they advertised Samsung TRUE, then changed their web page to reflect what the product actually was, Samsung chips on 3rd party generic PCB. People were stuck with the bum ram, or they could return it (for a nice restocking fee, plus shipping). Wasn't worth the effort. :( First and last time I bought from SVC. Not trying to thread crap, but SVC has had "issues" in the past on Samsung TRUE ram and everyone should know. Sounds like a deal if it's "TRUE" ;)

Understood, which is why I mentioned it in the first post. Based on their new "disclaimer", though, it sounds like they took a boatload of heat for that, and have mended their ways. Based on the bold paragraph in my first post, and the image that John mentions above, I'd say we have real Samsung here, which makes this a pretty sweet deal.

If anyone happens to order, please let us know the result !
