For the most part sony is overpriced. Meaning you can get better quality and reliability for less.

Avoid sony high-defintion TVs and all non-ES audion components like the plague.

The sony 777es SACD player is rather fine and I love mine. But otherwise....

Sony sucks, period.

Sony - overall

Samsung - great monitors the Samsung 753DF, 955DF and 900NF are awesome ... so is the 191T LCD (which the Dell 1900FP is a rebadge of), also good smaller appliances

silly question..... but overall.... Sony.... I like alot of things made by Samsung better though (good value)

I had the 955DF, and thought it was great until i got my Sony... then it was absolute crap.

I had the 955DF, and thought it was great until i got my Sony... then it was absolute crap.

I reluctantly agree but if you want a budget 17" monitor, NOTHING can touch the Samsung 753DF.

I loved my Dell P991 (FD Trinitron) absolutely beautiful.
