I am currently looking at these two phones. The DROID uses Verizon and the Samsung Moment uses Sprint. Sprint seems to have a cheaper cost per month but only slightly. Anyone have any thoughts on this.
Both are excellent phones, though all my personal experience is with the Droid. The Moment has a better keyboard, but all accounts, than the Droid though. However, the Droid seems to have a more active ROM development community. There's little reason to run stock on the Droid, on the Moment, you may have no choice.

I'd rather have a Droid than the Moment that I currently have, but the lower cost of the Sprint network is worth more to me than a somewhat better phone. You can always get a better phone (well, the Moment/Hero are the best Sprint has for now, but they'll get more good phones in the future), but you can't always get a lower price.
droid > moment in every way...minus the physical keyboard.
however, the htc evo 4G looks really good, but im pretty sure you'll have to pay a little extra to use 4G per month.
it will not cost extra to use 4g
just like it costs no extra to use 3G and to use any phone, but att likes to slap a $30 fee on smartphones. shrug?
I had (and still have for another month) the $30/month SERO but you can't get a Droid phone on SERO (or any good smartphone), so you're stuck with the $69.99 plan at minimum.
I got a Droid on Verizon and pay $39.99 + $30/month for basically the same features. I don't get VZ Navigator (or Sprint Nav), but who needs it when you have Google Nav. I do miss some texts here and there but I prefer email anyway.

I have a Droid and I love it. You'd have to do something phenomenal to get me to give it up. Also, Sprint has fucked me over multiple times in the past. I dont seem myself using them for a LONG time. Verizon might be the most expensive, but they seem to also have the best customer service and network coverage. Not saying they are awesome, just better than the other guys.
And supposedly Verizon is the only service usable in the DC Metro, which makes no sense because they're both CDMA, but whatever.
