Samsung LCD only shows vertical lines -- FIXED!

SyncMaster 225BM took a knock when it fell over. Since then only vertical lines nothing else. Purchased on a black Friday sale maybe 5 years ago.

Even with data cable disconnected same problem. No on screen config display.

you will have to open it up. look for a partially attached ribbon cable ( if you're lucky ). it may also be a broken connection between the glass and drivers, which cannot be fixed.
 
I am happy to say that it was a partially attached ribbon cable. It's fixed. Yay!
