So I received my new Samsung 24 1920x1080 LCD yesterday and got it hooked up. I was surprised to see a 1 black band around the edge when hooked up via HDMI. I called Samsung Tech Support and their solution was to use the analog VGA cable. Fortunately Google came to the rescue and I fixed it by changing the overscan settings in CCC.
The OSD controls are the worst Ive ever used. They may not be the worst in the industry but they are pretty bad. The buttons are aggravating enough, but the settings and logic are deplorable.
My question is this; I installed MagicPicture but I have no idea what it does. When I double click on the icon I see the process appear in task manager, then disappear again 3 seconds later. Is it supposed to do that? I asked Samsung tech support but they had no idea what it does either.
