They make a pretty good printer, but Tech Support is another deal. A couple of years ago, I bought a nice little ML5050 Laserjet and when Windows XP came out , they decided NOT to issue revised driver software for this and one other printer in their whold line (guess me and a few other poor slobs were the only ones who ever bought this particular model so they just chose to ignore us). What's more, when I asked about it, they sent me an E-Mail saying they had no plans to develop XP compatible software for this printer. The WIN2K version half-a_ _ works but it's a pain sometimes and trys to reinstall a new printer about every time I power it up.
Just my 2 cents worth on buying a printer from someone other than HP, Canon, Brother, etc. that are mainline printer manufacturers.

i owned a samsung ml-1210 and have several friends that own samsung laster printers too and i've gotta say all of us feel it's one of the better laser printer brands out there along with minolta and hp. i personally never had any driver problems, but i would understand exactly how you feel since when nvidia took over 3dfx, my voodoo cards became driverless in winxp. also that my minolta laser printer has no linux drivers, and i havent' been able to print from my linux box.

although u did recommend brother printers, i'd highly suggest you stay away from their multifunction machines. i've had 3 different brother models and nothing but trouble. sometimes the printer would not spool correctly and just print out random characters over dozens of pages, and the only way to stop is to unplug it from the outlet (they dont even have a power switch nor detachable power cord), something i've never experienced with printers until i got these brothers mfc machines.
