Hello Folks,
Has anyone else have one of these (Samsung Galaxy TAB S5e (10.5") my question is: How long should a new Tablet's battery last when NOT under strong use?

The specs on this unit Samsung Galaxy TAB S5e (10.5") says its battery life is 14.5 hrs. So I bought one and after charging it I noticed that just using it for going on FaceBook and Twitter the battery would drop from 100% to into the high 70%. with just about 40minutes of use.

Is that normal?? seems to me that is not good, or am I wrong? So I returned it and got another one which was actually a little better but still showed significant battery drop with just surfing the social media stuff. I got this Tab just for basic stuff like surfing the web and streaming movies and reading and thats it as I game on my compter and not a Tablet.

What do you guys and gals think?
Thanks, Jake

So I talked to a Samsung rep on the phone and basically he said it was due to programs being on in the background (sigh).

Both of the units I bought were brand new and both had their battery drained pretty quickly IMHO for just being on social media, so I guess I'll just return that one and get the:
Microsoft - Surface Pro 6 - 12.3" Touch-Screen - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 128GB Solid State Drive

I'm tottaly bummed out as that Samsung screen is smok'n hot.

There have been complaints about Samsung devices having unexpected battery drain. Well, that and Android tablets don't seem to last as long on battery as iPads do. The Surface Pro 6 isn't going to last an extreme amount of time on battery, but it might be more consistent than the Galaxy Tab S5e.
