You mean the original Mini? Nobody should buy that.

If it's for the kids, consider a Kindle Fire.

Samsung is offering a free book case with the purchase of the Tab S on its website. I got mine pre-ordered.

I am really excited about this particular model(the smaller one), because they finally realized that the "iPad form factor" is the way to go. Not the retarded wide-screen like in the Transformer Prime and countless others which is mostly good for movies and games only.

Finally, I'll have an Android tablet on which I can actually read a book for a change! And if I want to watch the movie, I'll just flip it sideways! I could also flip the wide screen tablets for books, but in the end it still looked ridiculous because of the narrow screen when held that way. This new tablet on the other hand will hopefully be just perfect!

Just picked up a Tab S 10.5, the display is simply stunning and it's incredibly comfortable to hold for such a large tablet.

Well I ordered one even though I had no intentions of getting one. I had 3 old tablets that I took to best buy traded them in for 50 dollars each and got a $50 coupon towards a galaxy tab s. I couldnt say no to getting a spanking new tab s for 200 off the retail price.

Then I got them to give me a free cover to match the sears offer. They didnt have a red one so I will pick it later when it comes in stock.

I have not opened the tablet yet, will do it once I get the cover :)

Was close to getting one at Best Buy this weekend. But after digging into some reviews, I'm concerned the GPU on the SoC isn't really good enough for this resolution. I'd really love a tablet with an AMOLED display, but I think I'll just keep waiting for now.

took a look at these in shop yesterday... I wasn't too impressed. Maybe it was the over-lit showroom setting but the amoled screen didn't look noticeably different from LCD. I had to squint at the spec sheets to even notice this was the one I was looking for. putting it on Dynamic color mode via Settings helped a little, but from my experience with the samsung galaxy S4 I wouldn't expect to be keeping it on that setting.

My Galaxy Tab S 10.5 came today, and the display is just amazing! Major difference compared to my aging Nexus 10.

I'm loving this thing so far. I think you are correct though, it is a bit underpowered.

Huge upgrade for me though, coming from a TF101. Hadn't really used that in at least a year, just used my Note 2. Now that's on Hotspot duty for the whole house whenever I'm home, so really needed a new device.

Display is amazing. Never been a fan of lcd in any form. Can't wait to get rid of my desktop 30" when we have 60hz+ oled at an affordable price.
