Samsung Galaxy S2 - August! ...finally

I quite doubt it. I would expect to hear some rumors about it first, or see something show up in the verizon terminals.
 
i hope so but i doubt it will be out before the bionic

is there any other CDMA carrier out there that might get the phone so you could just buy it outright and activate it on VZW?

Can't. Verizon won't activate it unless it's a Verizon branded phone.
 
A little off-topic, but on the forums on xda-developers. One of the developers unpacked a leaked rom of 2.3.4. There were filenames like att_lte and logos of ATT LTE. This means ATT will launch it with LTE and will be their flagship device when they launch the LTE service in 5 or so cities this year.

Might be that VZW gets a LTE version too.

Just speculation. I know lots of you wanted it to have LTE.

Anyway I think that date is too soon. I say end of August or September.

While I know that's technically true, let's be serious. I am not paying $700 or whatever for a phone that's probably coming out this month.
 
by the time they are actually released it will be worth waiting for the SGS3 and the next generation of phones in general

Verizon sucks, they charge for everything. Sprint will have this phone on the 24th, $350 bucks. Will put the iphone to shame. 🙂
