haha...really Samsung? Now I'll admit, a 4" Super AMOLED screen with a 1GHz processor is pretty solid hardware. But between the device looking almost exactly like the iPhone, and their custom skin of Android looking exactly like the iPhone OS....pretty funny.

Apple is in a litigous mood lately, how long till this gets added to their lawsuit?

Meh. I haven't been amazed by a Samsung phone in quite a while... if ever. This phone looks to be no different in that department.

Still, I'd take this phone over an iPhone if given the choice.

The Samsung Moment is a fairly solid phone, though could use some beefier hardware. Samsung seems to want to become more relevant in the smartphone market. Making a more user friendly implementation of Android is not a bad way to get there.

Samsung's proprietary interfaces haven't exactly been good, though. TouchWiz vs TouchFlo 3D, for example.

4" Super AMOLED screen = better than iPhone
Samsung custom interface = dealbreaker

im sure you can get rid of Samsung's custom interface. And at least touchwiz has gone through more iterations than Motoblur.... Definitely no SenseUI though.

Yea but Motoblur is typically found on lower end Motorola phones...TouchWiz is on their high end devices where you'd actually expect it not to suck!

hmm this is quite interesting. Re-read the specs. 8gb internal memory is impressive. You can finally go app crazy and not worry about rooting at all!

looks good. I have the cheaper Samsung galaxy lite and with android 2.1 its great (no touchwiz). This should be much snappier and much better display

I'm sure it can be rooted and use the default Android UI or fully customized to your liking.

While its specs are far better than an iPhone, it does look a lot like one. Might piss of Apple.

It looks like only the "app drawer" looks like the iPhone. Once you exit to the home screen, it's stock android 2.1. The device looks good, except for all the gloss-black surfaces. I really like the surfaces of the N1.

You usually don't need to root to get to the default android UI. For example on the HTC devices running Sense, you just go to your app list, and remove the default setting for Sense. Then when you hit Home, it asks if you want to use Sense or Home. Should be the same on this phone.
