Don't understand the draw (heheh) of this over the Surface Pro 2.

For me it was the size and the screen. The size is a major plus for productivity for me. Also because it's so thin it doesn't feel as bulky and heavy as the Surface.

I messed with the two side by side when I bought it and in just about every aspect that matters to me specifically, the Note Pro was the better of the two.

There are a lot of people who want Microsoft to make a 12" or 13" Surface Pro as well.

If MS made a 12 inch surface pro that weighed around 1.5lbs and had 9 to 10 hours of battery life I would have considered it esp if it was in the 750-800 range. The key points are
12-13 inch
9-11 hours of solid use battery life
1.5ish lb

if you make it much more expensive than 750-800 or heavier than 2.5lb then there are some good options in the ultra book arena.

Naturally if it has sucky battery life that's a killer before we get started (don't understand those ultra books with 6-7 hour battery life).

They have x86 i7 CPUs with 8GBs of DDR3 RAM, with HD4600/5xx0 GPUs, with 256GB SSDs, and 13.3in FHD or higher resolutions. 6 or 7 hours of near full performance on battery is pretty damn good. Not like you're going to be working for 7 hours straight on it without access to power anyway.

Well I care about web surfing and video; so video run down test is what I mostly use. Most of them have hd4400; but the macpro does have very good battery life and hd5000 - but also is more than 100% heavier.

I'm waiting for a keyboard dock that will transform this into a 12" laptop.

Could you please let us know the name of the nice stand you are using? Is there a link? Thanks.

Sorry, hadn't seen this.

Stand is an iHome iStand. http://www.amazon.com/iStand-Adjusta...dp/B00BEJVYAG/

It's perfect for larger tablets like the Note 12.2, with a very good range of adjustability. My only issue with it, is it's a little bulky when folded. I currently just use this traveling:

It's not very adjustable, but holds the 2.2 sturdy and at a decent angle, and best of all for travel, it folds to virtually nothing.
