How do you think the performance of this F4 (5400rpm) would compare to the 1TB F3 (7200rpm drive)?

I just installed mine in an XP machine after formatting with a Vista machine.

I am running torrents on it now and it seems to be doing fine.

HD Tune gave a max sequential speed above 130 mb/s, and min above 60 mb/s and average above 100 mb/s and average latency of 13.3 ms. The same numbers as on the Vista machine.

Does that mean that the drive is properly aligned for the 4 K in XP and I am good to go?

Just got a mailer that New Egg is going to have a 2T drive on sale tomorrow for $69. Wanna bet it's this drive?

For those asking about this 2tb or the 7200rpm F3, here are the results I posted for a review on newegg on my 1TB 7200rpm F3.

This is the drive I have

Bursts @ 221 MB/s
Starts @ 150MB/s, Ends @ 80MB/s
Average Transfer is: 122 MB/s
Random Latency @ 14.5 ms

Hmm, was $59 so you gonna still overpay for it...
People don't spending $$ anymore, so prices will slash at least another 20-30% so it will be VERY SOON for $49.99....
