the Samsung drives have received pretty good reviews for the most part...
I'm still trying to figure out how easy the RMA process is...
I can't check warranty dates on their website... or I'm not seeing the link...

I've been running 500GB Samsung Spinpoint F1s for over a year now, 6 of them to be exact, in RAID 5. Haven't had a single drive failure (knock on wood). I keep them cool and healthy and they treat me well, very quiet too.

I'm thinking this may be the deal I was waiting for.. to migrate to 1TB drives! 😀

Newegg had Western Digital Caviar Green, not Samsung. I know because I bought the WD green. And it was $100 I think.
