Samsung dvd/cdrw combo drive $36.50 +tax +s/h

Bought this drive about a month ago to replace a old DVD drive that died. Works great so far burning at 52x.

Prior to dvd burners absolutely taking off, the Samsung combo cdrw/dvd readers got absolutely kick-ass reviews. This is a perfect drive to replace a cdrw, as you can rip dvd's at much higher speed than a dedicated dvdr drive. Plus, 52x cd buring is nothing to sneeze at. If at all possible, go for the retail with 8mb cache, the oem's are 2mb

everything has buffer underrun protection these days, but all things being equal, 8mb gives you even more protection that 2

with thes combos dropping like this, might be a good time for me to buy one to replace the liteon 32x burner
