Samsung DVD/CD-WR combo drive 2mb vs 8mb cache

Samsung's web site lists on the specs for their TS-H492A that the OEM version has a 2mb cache and the retail version has an 8mb cache.

A couple of sites that reviewed the drive confirmed this cache difference but Newegg lists 2mb for OEM and retail versions that they sell.

Does the extra cache make that big of a difference ?


 
i have the OEM version of the drive (2mb), yet mine has a diff model number, SM-352B, works fine, burns whole cd's in like a minute or so
