Samsung disappoints hard with Galaxy Tab 2

My only question is what's the price point? Could this be more of a fill a entry point 10 tab than anything else? I'm curious to see if they have something more on point with higher end devices later.

Only thing that makes sense to me.

It seems very likely that this is an entry level product by the way Samsung is launching it however you should expect certain people to ignore that possibility for as long as they can. After all if the Note 10.1" comes out with something crazy like a 2560x1600 PLS display and a Quad Core Exynos it wouldn't be as easy for them to bash Samsung.

We can only go with what has been officially announced, not what is rumored...

Their real 2012 products will be unveiled tomorrow and at the march event. This is just a redesign of the original tablet wich got banned in a few countries because of the patent war between Samsung and Apple. They cant just sell off the existing stock because Apple might sue them so they are basically doing a relaunch of the same tablet.

There have already been pics of a banner for the Galaxy Note 10.1 announcement so I think it's safe to assume Samsung is releasing at least one other 10.1" tablet at MWC.

Yes, I'm perfectly happy with my Galaxy s2 i777 although the Galaxy Note was tempting.

So the SGS2 ISN'T the exact device you want then, right? If you were tempted by the Note, there must be things about the SGS2 you don't like then.

I mean, I'm "perfectly happy" with an iPhone 4, but there are things I would change about it. I don't like how gunk gets down in the earpiece hole or the speaker and microphone holes. I'm not quite happy with the travel of the vibrate switch. I'd probably replace the back with an aluminum shell instead of glass. I probably would be willing to sacrifice a little bit of thickness for better battery life. I think I could dig a 4" screen. Overall, however, I'd consider myself to be "perfectly happy".

I was just wondering if you had found the EXACT device you want.

Looks like the Galaxy Note 10.1 is a disappointment too.

Maybe Samsung has a secret 1600p tablet waiting in the wings for the iPad3.

Samsung's new strategy is to announce products much closer to launch. The 1600p tablet you are referring to was never going to be announced at MWC, because Samsung is waiting for mass production of the Exynos 5250 to power it (and that's in Q2). Plus, I also think they need some time to ramp up making those QWXGA Super AMOLED screens.
