Are the Samsung combo drive any good? I'm looking to build a very quiet computer and would like a DVD/CD-RW drive in it. Any suggestions? Thanks
 
I have one and I love mine. Quiet, does what its supposed to do at the speed it's rated at. So far, so good.

Kind of expensive don't you think, you can get a 4X DVD-R/RW for $150 after MIR, and it writes to CDR/CDRW too albiet slower (16X? I dunno my 2X Pioneer DVDR only writes CD's at 8X)
 
I found the samsung for just around 75...
I wont be burning any dvd any time soon so i think i will wait till the standars ar worked out and the speeds are greater.
