This is an upcoming android phone with a hardware keyboard coming to AT&T consumers. Rumor has it that it will come out in November 20th of 2011 and pricing will be 100$ with a two year contract on AT&T

http://news.yahoo.com/samsung-captivate-glide-hands-impressions-181104866.html

Here are the specs:
Processor: 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processorRAM: 1GB (and 1GB ROM)Operating System: Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)Screen: 4-inch 480×800 Super AMOLEDCamera: 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front (1080p recording)Data Speed: HSPA+ 21 Mbps (AT&T’s fastest 3G speeds)Business Features: Enhanced Exchange ActiveSync® (EAS) to sync email, contacts, calendar and tasks; Device and SD card encryption; Virtual private network support; Mobile Device Management (MDM)
Check it out.

I am overly interested in this phone because this is the only high end Android smart phone on AT&T that has a physical qwerty keyboard.

What do you guys think of this phone?

It sounds like a great option for anyone who needs a hardware keyboard.

Thank you for your opinion. Though can you provide more input on the specs?

More opinions about this phone or anything relating to is always welcome in this thread.

I'd say T2 and regular WVGA SAMOLED make it midrange at this point and through the first half of 2012, not high-end.

Still your best hardware keyboard option outside Verizon, though.

There are displays higher than regular WVGA SAMOLED?

Is it a really huge difference though? I always thought ASMOLED looks nice because the colors are oversatured.

How good is the processor on the phone do you think? DO you think it can play a lot of cellphone games that are out/ browse the internet smoothly??

Tegra 2 is a very good choice for gaming since you get access to all of the Tegra Zone games by default.

The screen sounds just like the one in the original Captivate so it should be good but obviously the Super Amoled Plus screen on the Galaxy S2 or the 720p Super Amoled screen on the Galaxy Nexus will be better.

Currently there is WVGA SAMOLED+ (more subpixels because of RGB instead of Pentile) and both QHD and 720p SAMOLED.

Given Nvidia's support (bribery ;) ) of devs for their platform and the fact that most people are still on single-core, you should be fine for games for a while. Samsung's Touchwiz seems to be the fastest Android variant for browsing, too...

Only Tegra 2 processor phones can play the games on the Tegra zone right?

What about Samsung Galaxy SII?

Thanks for your input!! Very helpul!

I hope the phone can last me 2 years in the gaming department heh. By the way, most people are on single cores?

Did dual core phones only came out recently?

Non-Tegra devices like the S2 can use Chainfire3D to get around the Tegra-locks. Requires root though.

Dual-core came out early this year, but many single-core phones have released too. Plus people still have last year's devices.
