I just bought one yesterday, and today when i sat down on it... i opened up a folder and my screen flashed a bright white and returned to normal...then i opened up another screen then it did it again only this time my screen went black, with the on off button flashing, and it wouldn't respond. I unpluged it and tryed again. and what do u know again? has anybody expienced this? any suggestions? what could it be from?

You didn't really sit on it, did you?

If so, I think I might know what the problem is...

That said, however, I have a 997df, and I have never experienced any problems whatsoever.

no i didn't sit on it...in front of it 😛 in a chair...lol. so i brought it back, after a 15% bs restocking fee. and got the new one infront of me...but i'm still a little worried after the issues with the first one. any idea's on what coulda happened? from what i've read...other than geometry issues, it's a pretty solid monitor. and once again still worried.

a 15% restocking fee on defective materials?

time to go back to the place you bought it and get the fee returned to you..

why would you even agree to pay it?

That fee is excessive, especially for a defective item bought from a local dealer. None of my local places charge that, where did you get it?

I have a 997df and never experienced anything like that, hope your new one works better.
