Hi everyone!

Just wanted to write this in the event that other people are actually experiencing the issue I have potentially with this drive. Recently, I've been getting BSODs pertaining to "critical_process_died", "unexpected_store_exception", and "kmode_exception_not_handled" primarily when running Malwarebytes or any anti-virus full scans - although the issue has popped up when doing other things on the PC such as idling in games or in various applications, like Steam or Chrome. The first instance of my BSOD was when I idled in Steam after downloading a demo (I did not play the game).

I've done every single troubleshooting step from updating and or reinstalling drivers, reinstalling the latest Windows update, Memtest64 and 86, stress testing components, isolated boot tests, etc. Although the system has stabilized and watchdog files blamed NVIDIA drivers (in addition to usbxhci.sys), one BSOD did return after running Malwarebytes yesterday. It was "critical_process_died", and the same thing played out - immediate restart, 0% progress so no dump file (even after changing various directories and things in the registry), and restart in the BIOS with the boot drive missing.

I'm suspicious of the drive since chkdsk and DISM keep finding corrupted files occasionally and event viewer rang a few alarms pertaining to NTFS and volmgr. The 990 Evo Plus was also the only component that didn't have a firmware update, since I'm running the latest one - however, this firmware update is half a year old now. Is it malware? I don't think so since Windows Defender and Malwarebytes never found anything; in fact, they were the ones triggering the majority of the BSODs.

I do have a backup SSD - my first SSD which is a 500 GB Crucial P3. This one never gave any errors, outside of when I was transitioning from Crucial to Samsung. Even then, I expected this since I tried to boot from an enclosure which I knew couldn't pull it off.
