Almost picked up one of these, but after looking at the Flat LCD Screens at Costo and drooling, and to see them now drop to $490 now for the Envision 17", I think I will wait till xmas when they should hit the $300sh range with some coupons, rebates, specials etc. And since I got lucky on that Gold Box Olympus D40 camera ($255), I really need an LCD for my photo editing. Nice monitor tho if your just upgrading from a 15 or 17in, I have the 19" 950p (Not Flat) Samsung and it has been a great monitor for gaming.

I matched the 955DF at Staples to techsavings for 110% PM and then used a $40 off $200 coupon. Came out for just under $199 and change. I know, not much difference...just thought I'd pass it on. Of course, that final will depend upon the tax rate where you live.

I like that a LOT better. Less likely to get damaged in shipping and if anything is wrong with it, there is a replacement just around the corner.

 
For people who are on the fence, I have a quick story. My 955 DF was about 2 years into the warranty and I (being obsessive) must always keep a clean screen. I bought some Endust Electronic cleaner and began to clean it. To my surprise, the outer dark coating began to come off!! Boy was I upset. :|

I called Samsung and within minutes they approved a replacement. It is one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had!!

Just wanted to ask how are you getting the pricematch and applying the coupon? I've tried 4 times and the operators are telling me its against policy. I checked the staples website and their pricematching policy and the csrs are correct. How did you manage to pull this off?

I'm new to this...Can it be done online or do I need a staples B&M? I ask cause the nearest staples to me is an hour away.
 
Man.. wanted to get this monitor the last time the the price dropped so steeply... tempted to try PMing ... staples in my areas lack a lot of stuff... oh well. 😀
 
Well, I've never had a problem with PM'ing and using a coupon with Staples.com when I call them. I've done it with the Antec 1080B case/PS, natural pro keyboard (although I didn't like the total when she finished, so I decided not to go through with it), and this monitor.

Hell, CSR won't match EMS computing anymore (cheapest on 955DF I found), so HE even asked if I wanted to PM somewhere else!!! Even though TechSavings.com appears to be the same people, Staples doesn't seem to know that and it was only a few dollars more at most on that site (search on pricegrabber). Told him I had a $40 off $200 code, and he said, no problem.

Maybe I've just been lucky, but I've never had any difficulty doing this.

I have a 955df...had it since January...and love it. Yeah, a Sony will eat anything, and I realize I'm looking at a Trinitron tube right now, but it's cheaper, and that's what counts 😀

I have this monitor & it ROCKS! Not the very best out there but certainly a very nice one.

Staples has a $50 off $200 just found the code, save an extra $10.00. 😀
